Maarten Koningsberger, baritone

The musical interests of Dutch baritone Maarten Koningsberger encompass baroque music, classical opera, song, oratorio and recital repertoire. He performed in opera and concerts worldwide (Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw, Carnegie Hall, Staatsoper Berlin, Bejing Concert Hall, Theater an der Wien) and made more than 30 cd recordings, including English consort songs from the late 16th century, Baroque cantatas (Bach, Campras, Blankenberg) Grands Motets, Lieder (Hyperion Schubert Edition, Brahms, Mahler, Schumann, Purcell, E.Smyth, Beethoven) and Mélodie (Fauré, Milhaud)
He has sung with Les Arts Florissants, Tafelmusik, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Hongkong Philharmonic and Die Akademie Alte Music Berlin, under the baton of William Christie, Jeffrey Tate, Gustav Leonhardt, Gennady Roshdenstvenski, René Jacobs, Reinbert de Leeuw, Marin Alsop, Mark Minkowski, Ton Koopman, Richard Egarr, Jaap van Zweden and Christophe Rousset.
Maarten Koningsberger taught at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music, the Conservatoire National Supérier de Musique et de Danse de Paris and the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles and is regularly invited for jury’s and masterclasses.
